I enhance my walks with a super simple breathing exercise.
It’s all about syncing my breaths with my steps.
Here’s the drill:
🚶Inhale, 1, 2, 3, 4
🚶Exhale, 4, 3, 2, 1
It’s that easy! Just breathe in for 4 steps, a brief pause, then breathe out for 4 steps, a brief pause. And always through the nose!
This allows me to notice my breathing during light exercise and is a great way to incorporate conscious breathing into my routine.
